Job Description
A Business Technology (IT) Intern shall perform all job functions and resume all responsibilities outline in the Job Scope when given by Business Technology Manager and approved by Top Management. The Business Technology Intern has specific responsibilities towards Business Technology Department and Company, and shall:
- Troubleshoot technology issues (hardware, software, server, networking).
- Maintain log and list of computer hardware repairs and maintenance.
- Perform computer cleaning, reformatting, printer cleaning, software upgrades.
- Maintain log and list of data backups (workstations, servers, emails).
- Monitor technology resources consumption (network traffic, data storage, computer supplies, consumables, email usage).
- Provide network and door access to staff as per operating procedure.
- Set up workstations.
- Input and maintain accounts and passwords for workstations, servers, software, and business-related internet services.
- Protect proprietary and confidential information gained during professional duties.
- Perform assigned IT tasks from superior or management.
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks requested by top management.
- Collaborate with BT personnel, review and follow up on pending tasks.
