We are seeking talented and motivated Backend PHP Developers (Laravel) at both Junior and Senior levels to join our dynamic team at OCEAN HUB MANAGEMENT SDN. BHD. in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time member, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems using the Laravel framework.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and implement complex backend systems and APIs using Laravel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide support for production systems.
• Continuously improve and optimise existing systems and processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in web development.

What We’re Looking For:

For Junior Backend Developer:

• At least 1 – 2 years of working experience in backend development.
• Required skill(s): PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JSON, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Have knowledge in Git and are familiar with the MVC framework.
• A fast learner with the ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
• Able to deliver under pressure and tight deadlines.

For Senior Backend Developer:

• At least 3 – 4 years of solid working experience in backend development with Laravel.
• Required skill(s): PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JSON, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
• Optional skills: NextJS.
• Possess strong skills in application design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong skills in programming and system analysis are a must.
• Some team-leading capabilities are highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to guide junior developers and make key technical decisions.

  • Junior Developer: RM 4,000 – RM 5,000 (depending on skillset and experience)
