Job Description

1.       Responsible to source, negotiate, payment term and purchase materials from both local and oversea vendors;

2.       To monitor the global material price and currency exchange in relevant to price negotiation;

3.       Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project;

4.       Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation;

5.      Purchase materials according to production quality and delivery requirements;

6.      Negotiate with suppliers for the best lead time and lowest possible cost with comparable quality;

7.      Liaise with vendor on material issue, follow up delivery status and update respective department ;

8.      Updates purchasing material ordering list by and generate reports on weekly/ monthly basic;

9.      To support engineering on purchasing matters;

10.    Maintain purchasing data accuracy and upkeep part list in the NAV system at all times;

11.    Handles internal modification request (IMFR);

12.    Handles non conformity request case (NCR);

13.     Advise internal and external on issues regarding purchasing terms & conditions;

14.     In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules;

15.    Support for yearly supplier performance review activities;

16.     Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors;

17.     Be contact window for vendor escalation including resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors;

18.     Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements;

19.     Any other duties as assigned by Management.
