Job Description

As a Media Content Tagger, you will be responsible for reviewing and coding media content from mainstream news and social media platforms based on sentiment, topic categories, key messages, and other relevant attributes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of media data, which will be used for analysis and client reporting. The role also involves extracting and organising data to support the Insights and Media Services Team in generating actionable findings.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Read and analyse news articles and social media content.
  • Accurately code each item with relevant sentiment, themes, and key messages, based on coding guidelines.
  • Extract and input relevant metadata (e.g. story topic, spokesperson, media type).
  • Ensure consistency and quality of data across all sources.
  • Collaborate with analysts to refine tagging frameworks and improve data accuracy.
