Responsibilities

How is data analytics applied in business analytics? When will we apply machine learning or statistical models? Where and how can cloud services like Azure Machine Learning, AutoML or Anomaly Detector support our business analysts to become more efficient? How can we increase data analytics literacy in our organization?

You will work on these and other questions from day one as an intern in our highly committed Data Analytics team.

You will gain insights into the challenges of creating and running models by actively participating in our projects. The goal of our newly setup team is to make the life of business analysts in financial reporting easier. One of the ways we achieve this is to make use of services and tools from Microsoft Azure. Hands-on topics include e.g.:

• Further development of existing models for anomaly detection in intercompany profit, currency exchange rates or function cost controlling.
• Support the team in improving or developing new approaches and models
• Exploration of Azure features
• Contribution to and coordination within global teams
• Support in day-to-day business

Requirements

• Studies around business analytics, management accounting, controlling, statistics, econometrics, or other related areas
• Knowledge about one or more of the following tools would be an advantage: Data Analysis and Visualization (Power BI / Tableau / Google data studio, etc.), Data Science (Statistical analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning), Use of programing languages (e.g., SQL, Python), Cloud Computing in Azure, AWS (Amazon Web Services) or GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• Strong affinity in digitalization & agile working
• Structured, independent way of working and good comprehension skills as well as a good degree of initiative and enthusiasm
• Fluent English skills
