Job Descriptions:
1. Robotics System Integration:
o Collaborate on integrating robotic systems into existing production lines or manufacturing processes.
o Learn about communication protocols (e.g., ROS, Modbus) for seamless integration.
2. Robot Programming and Control:
o Write code for robot motion planning, trajectory generation, and kinematics.
o Implement control algorithms for precise movement and coordination.
o Debug and optimize robot behavior based on task requirements.
3. Sensor Integration and Perception:
o Explore sensor technologies (lidar, cameras, depth sensors) for robot perception.
o Calibrate and mount sensors on robots.
o Develop algorithms for object detection, localization, and mapping.
4. Automation System Design:
o Assist in designing automated systems for specific tasks (e.g., pick-and-place, assembly).
o Consider safety, efficiency, and reliability in system design.
o Create schematics, layouts, and bill of materials.
5. Process Automation and Control:
o Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems for manufacturing processes.
o Work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
o Troubleshoot and optimize control loops, sensors, and actuators.
6. Instrumentation and Measurement:
o Learn about sensors, transmitters, and instrumentation devices used in industrial processes.
o Calibrate and maintain measurement instruments.
o Collect and analyze data for process improvement.
7. Software Development and Scripting:
o Write scripts or programs for automation tasks (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW).
o Create HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens for operators.
o Develop custom software tools for data visualization or analysis.
8. Electrical and Control System Design:
o Assist in designing electrical panels, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
o Understand safety standards and regulations related to electrical systems.
o Collaborate with engineers to create control system architectures.
9. Testing and Validation:
o Conduct functional testing of automation systems.
o Validate system performance against specifications.
o Document test results and identify areas for improvement.
10. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
o Participate in preventive maintenance activities for automation equipment.
o Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, or communication networks.
o Learn about predictive maintenance techniques.
11. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical engineers, software developers, etc.).
